The Environmental and Social Management Plan (ESMP) serves as the operational framework for the Integrated Water Resources Management and Ecosystem-based Adaptation (IWRM-EbA) Project in the Xe Bang Hieng River Basin. This document outlines the specific management procedures and mitigation measures required to minimize environmental and social risks identified during the assessment phase. It provides a structured approach to ensure that all project activities in Savannakhet Province align with both national regulations of Lao PDR and international safeguard standards.

The plan details the management strategies for various project interventions, including the construction of small-scale protective infrastructure and the implementation of ecosystem restoration activities.
